Glossary
Fuel Types:
Dual Fuel - Offering the flexibility of a gas hob and an electric oven, this fuel option allows you to benefit from the controllability of a ags hob and the temperature distribution of an electric oven.
Gas - This fuel type gives you maximum cooking control. The heat change is immediate and precise.
Electric - This fuel option achieves perfect results every time, thanks to even temperature distribution.
Induction - Induction technology works by heating the pan rather than the hob, offering a smarter, faster, greener way to cook. Products with induction technology are highlighted throughout the website with the icon shown here.
Grills:
Gas Grill - A gas fuelled grill is a standard feature on many gas appliances.
Electric Grill - Grilling can often be adjusted by selecting a higher or lower shelf or trivet position.
Electric Variable Grill - Grilling temperature can be altered by selecting a high or low setting.
Dual Circuit Grills - A feature you'll find on high specification electric and dual fuel cookers, this enables you to tailor the grilling power to suit your requirements. There's an economy setting for smaller amounts and a full grill setting for larger quantities.
Dual Circuit Variable Electric Grill - As above but with super-fast response times and the precision of a dial control.
Ovens:
Electric Fanned Oven - An oven that distributes heat evenly through the use of an integrated fan.
Electric Multifunction Oven - An oven that incorporates up to 9 functions including fan, intensive bake, conventional, browning element, defrost function, Pizza setting, a top and base heat and fanned grilling.
Electric Conventional Oven - An oven that uses heat from the elements at the top and base of the oven. Heat rises, so the oven is cooler at the bottom and hotter at the top.
Gas Conventional Oven - An oven that uses heat from gas jets at the base of the oven. Heat rises, so the oven is cooler at the bottom and hotter at the top.
Fanned Defrost - A function where the oven fan assists defrosting by circulating air around the food.
Tall Fanned Oven - For even, multi-level cooking with a huge 91 litre capacity oven. Suitable when cooking on several shelves at once as heat is produced evenly throughout the oven.
Features:
Easy Clean Enamel - A specially designed enamel that resists cooked on food and spills for ease of cleaning.
Telescopic Sliders - Intelligently designed shelves that allow easy access to food inside the oven.
Halogen Flood Light - Used to illuminate the oven interior so you can see clearly through the viewing window without having to open the oven door. Halogen is a superior choice for ovens as it provides up to 36% more light but using over 20% less energy than a standard bulb.
Energy Rating:
Relates to the efficiency of the specific appliance, A-energy is the most efficient energy rating with AA-energy being this rating in both cavities in either a double oven or range cooker.
Flame Safety Device - For added safety, this device is designed to detect if the flame goes out on your appliance and will cut off the gas supply immediately.
